There was black mold on the ceiling, some tubs, carpet, and other areas. The beds called “clean” had someone else's dirt and hair on them, and the shower and tub were dirty too. The tub was cracked and peeling, the microwave was black with burnt goo and bugs, and the staff don't seem to clean, just remake beds with the same sheets and bedding. It was hard to breathe, and I felt it was unsafe for families. I was sent here by DSS, which I assume either hasn't been here or doesn't care. There are plenty of better hotels and motels. Leviathan Carr is either a Crack head with no family and problems living in filth, or someone who doesn't care about her health. There was a fire in 2019, and I'm assuming that's when the black mold began. I doubt the place has ever been inspected, and if it has, the inspector is dirty. If you have a family or are sensitive to mold like I am, avoid it or ask to be relocated.

I stayed for two weeks and nobody ever cleaned my room, even though I kept getting the slips. I asked the general manager whether I needed to be there when cleaners came, and he said no, but they still never showed up. Then the cleaners took all my towels and rags and didn't bring them back. When I went to the desk the next morning to explain how frustrated I was, the general manager basically waved me off and told me to have DSS house me somewhere else. At check-in the room was a mess, so I had to buy supplies and clean it myself. There were dead flowers under the nightstands, graduation decorations stuck to the headboard, a filthy toilet, a shower ceiling falling down, and hair in the drains. I don't recommend staying here. If you have a choice, don't.

For the price, it was okay. The beds were clean and comfortable, the room was quiet, and loading and unloading the vehicle was easy. The room seemed partly updated, with newer beds and furniture than most of the hotel. Staff were very friendly, and the location was good. The outdoor eating area by breakfast was a nice touch, and the pet fee was reasonable. Breakfast was limited, with no fruit or protein like yogurt or eggs. Some hallways need new carpet. The room smelled strongly of air freshener at first, but the fan helped. You could see signs of water damage, and the repair wasn't done very well.

The beds were clean and comfortable, with soft, new pillows, and having a microwave and fridge/freezer in the room was a big plus for my family. This was an easy stopover for us. The staff were all really nice and accommodating. For a two-star hotel, it was quite clean, and the continental breakfast was a nice extra. Breakfast stayed fresh and was replenished during serving hours, so even near closing there was still a choice. They had waffle batter and a waffle maker, muffins, cereal and milk, bagels, English muffins, bread and spreads, juice, coffee, and tea. Fresh fruit would have rounded it out. There's no longer a pool. There was a bit of a smoke smell when walking in, including in the non-smoking area. I can only assume it comes from the years when the whole hotel allowed smoking.
