Holiday Inn Binghamton Downtown by IHG

After 11 hours on the road, the little welcome bag was a lovely gesture. It had two water bottles, a small bag of chips, and a dog bone for our pup. The young man who checked us in was professional and polite. My husband picked up breakfast for us, since we wanted to eat in the room, and they packaged everything up so nicely. Our floor was quiet and lovely. There was something sticky on the bathroom floor, which made us a bit uncomfortable, but we let it slide given the rest of the stay. At checkout, Kyneshia greeted us with the warmest smile and asked how things had been. I told her about our horrible experience at the Holiday Inn in rocky Mount, and how different this was. She was happy they could give us the experience we had. It was the best hotel stay of our month-long journey.

The rooms were clean and nights were very quiet. I regularly ate breakfast at the restaurant, though I prefer ordering from a menu to a buffet and you don't get to choose here. It's whatever they're offering that morning. Kyneshia at the front desk was polite and helpful at checkout, and fixed my receipt before I left. A few other employees helped during my stays too, but I don't have their names handy.

Kyneshia was incredibly kind and helpful, and really made the stay better. Check-in was quick and easy, we loved the room, and had no real complaints. The downside was how warm the room, hallways, and elevators were. We couldn't adjust the temperature in our room.

We stay here around ten times a year, and it’s never let us down. The people are a big part of that: Jen and Andy at the front desk are warm and professional, and if anything’s off, the staff work quickly to sort it out. The rooms are roomy, clean, and affordable, too. The Holiday Inn at 2-8 Hawley St in Binghamton, NY is easily the best Holiday Inn we’ve stayed in. I’d recommend it for the amenities, price, cleanliness, and especially the staff. Six out of five from me.
