Home2 Suites Birmingham Colonnade

Stephanie made the stay feel welcoming. She was upbeat each morning and did what she could to help, and the man who greeted us when we arrived was helpful too. The room was quiet and comfortable during my two-week work trip at Home2 Suites on Colonade Parkway in Birmingham, Alabama. Housekeeping was the hard part. My room was cleaned only about three times, and I kept running out of toilet paper and tissues, so I had to fetch them from the front desk. Trash often sat until I asked someone to remove it. That got frustrating over two weeks, and the elevator floors also looked dirty much of the time. In the second week, my co-worker joined the same assignment and found roaches in her room. Staff moved her promptly, which I appreciated, but she ran out of toilet paper too. One of the pillows smelled like a guy had just slept on it. The staff were kind, especially Stephanie, but the inconsistent cleaning and supply restocking were disappointing for a long stay.

We had no complaints from our team, which is rare. Forty crew members stayed here over two months, with people arriving and leaving and schedules shifting all the time. The staff were easy to reach and really helpful with coordinating everyone's stays. I'd recommend it for a short or long visit, whether you're booking for one person or a big group.

The maintenance guy was the best part of my stay. He went way out of his way to sort out my issue quickly on several occasions, the best interaction I've ever had with hotel maintenance. The hotel itself is nice, with plenty of good restaurants and shopping nearby.

Rueshelle gave us such a warm welcome, and her professionalism, kindness, and helpfulness were amazing. Paul and Adrienne were just as courteous and professional. We really appreciated all of them going the extra mile, and we're looking forward to coming back. Thank you!
