Quality Inn Junction City - Near Fort Riley

My car broke down on I70, and after hearing my situation, the man at the desk still kept my deposit, claiming I'd smoked in the room. I smoked outside in my car on the way to the nearby Walmart. Nothing I said mattered; it felt like he was looking for an excuse to keep the money. Any smell could have been on my clothes or me, but he kept it anyway. Completely lacking empathy. The room was not very clean, with crusted stuff on the bathroom counter and toilet, and it smelled strongly of chemicals. I didn't even complain, yet they still did this to me. Worst hotel stay of my life, and I stay in plenty of places. 0/10. The front desk man had awful body odor too. Not sure how he could smell anything.

The hotel was very clean, with a nice outdoor pool, friendly staff, and several stores and restaurants close by. But nobody mentioned the $35 dog fee until we'd already paid for the room, neither during booking nor at the front desk. It felt like a trap. If I'd known, I would've stayed elsewhere, since the room plus the pet fee put us over budget.

We were grateful they let us keep our little birds in the room. The staff were very friendly, check-in was quick, and the room was clean and exactly what we needed when our plans changed at the last minute. Thanks so much for the wonderful hospitality!

The towels were thin and tiny, and room service has to be requested. Otherwise they won't service the room until the third day, according to a sticker on the bathroom mirror. Breakfast was subpar too. The entrance smelled strongly of Fabuloso or Pine Sol, like it was running through a water fountain. I won't stay here again when visiting family in town. I guess you get what you paid for.
