Quality Inn Bishop near Mammoth

I read the 24-hour cancellation policy and tried to cancel. I called 22 times and nobody answered. It's been over a month, and I've called every day since without reaching anyone. Choice Hotels won't refund me. If something goes wrong, you may never get your money back. Customer service across this franchise, especially at this hotel, has been the worst. I recommend the Residence Inn across the street for the same price, with people I find much more trustworthy. I'm filing a lawsuit with my lawyer to get my money back. I would never stay here.

It's an old motel, and the HVAC was so loud it seemed to be on its last legs. I didn't think it was good value, though the location in downtown Bishop is easy to walk around from.

The room was clean, but the front desk man's rude, unfriendly service ruined everything. Even after I checked in, he refused to let us use the restroom, saying there were no public restrooms. We were two guests and asked for two room keys, but he said they only had one. I'd just watched him program the key card right in front of me. Seriously? Save the ego for your wife, not your guests.

It was a comfortable, pleasant stay, and the service was great. The location is really convenient, and the decor has some quaint touches, like Yellow pages, but the place is older. There were buckling floors, things coming apart, and an old-style AC and heater. The pool had a hard cover over it. The pictures above make the hotel/motel look fabulous, though.
