The lot is really small, so parking was tight, and there are much better places for the price. My room at the Thunderbird Motel smelled odd enough that I sprayed air freshener as soon as I got in. The bed frames were visibly disgusting, with gunk where they met the floor, and there was body oil on the dirty headboards. The bathroom was visibly dirty and had no soap or shampoo. There were no hand towels or bathmat, just one towel. The TV worked, but I couldn’t adjust its volume. The guy at the desk was okay, though his English was poor. I wish I’d taken pictures, but that’s how it was.

For the price, this was a 5/5 motel. The room was very clean, newly painted, and cute inside, and I had the best sleep I’ve had in a hotel or motel. It felt like sleeping in my own bed. I called ahead because we’d be arriving around 11:30, and the gentleman was really sweet when he let us in. You could tell we’d woken him, but he still welcomed us. If it’s family-owned, they take pride in their service. I liked the housekeeping note asking guests to leave a tip. I like clear expectations, and since the room was so clean, I did.

We paid a lot for a room with two king beds, but the towels and washcloth were dirty. We arrived at 12:30 am and didn’t notice the linens until morning. I asked at the desk for five towels and a washcloth to be replaced, and she said they would be. The replacements were just as dirty. Have a look, those are the towels and washcloth they brought back. Not as good as Motel 6.

This is a budget motel with average service and location. The room was clean except for the bed. Both the fitted sheet and top sheet were clean, but the mattress pad underneath had hair and stains.

Nothing fancy, but it was fair for what we needed. We were taken good care of, the room was clean, the shower was good, and the bed was comfortable. Just right after hours of traveling. 🙏
