The staff were really kind and helpful, and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. The heated indoor pool was clean and just the right temperature for little kids. Everything was great, and we'd stay again if we're back in the area. We'd stayed at a different Hampton Inn the night before and thought it was good, but this one turned out to be one of the best and cleanest hotels we've stayed in. The bathroom and bedrooms were spotless, and all the bottles, including shampoo and conditioner, were fully stocked. My only gripe is that the carpet in our room was definitely old and probably due for replacement. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Breakfast the next morning was excellent. We came down around 9:25 AM after sleeping in, and everything was still stocked, unlike hotels where choices can run low 30-40 minutes before breakfast ends. The lobby, hallways, elevator, and especially our room were all clean, fresh, and well cared for. At evening check-in, the gentleman at the front desk with the white glasses was thoughtful and pleasant. We were coming in from the cold, and his warm welcome set the tone for the whole visit. If you're visiting Montreat or Montreat College, this is a great place to stay. We met other families with current or former students there, and they shared very positive thoughts about campus life and the faculty. Our stay was comfortable, convenient, and welcoming, and we'd happily return to this Hampton Inn in Black Mountain, NC.

It's in a great spot, with both downtown and the highway within walking distance. Our clean room had a sound machine, and breakfast was great. The staff were courteous and patient. This Hampton is a hidden gem, and we'll be back.

Our daughter lives here and attends Montreat College, and she urgently needed a place to stay for the night. We're from out of state, and the hotel worked with us to make a stressful situation calmer. My husband and I had stayed here before and highly recommend it.

The staff have been very helpful, and the rooms are comfortable and quite roomy. Cleanliness gets five stars, and breakfast has lots of variety. This will be my hotel whenever I'm in the area.
