The bed was comfortable, and the sheets at least looked clean. Water pressure was good too. But the shower head was extremely old and caked with lime, and the shower surround was dirty. It didn’t look like the room had been properly cleaned in six or seven years, apart from what might have been a very quick wipe-down.

The rates are good, and I’d stay here again if I needed to, but the place needs some attention. There was trash sitting by the back entrance the whole time I was there, something a quick walk-through could have caught. The pool was closed, which was a letdown, and the ice machine kept leaking. White specks from the ice stuck to my bottles, so I was glad I didn’t drink it. Blackduck doesn’t have much around, so the hotel doesn’t need to be fancy, but it could use a cleanup.

We were so comfortable here that I could have stayed for days. The rooms were very, VERY clean, and I really liked the hotel’s older look instead of the usual fancy modern style. The manager was down to earth and joked around with us, and he and his wife were always smiling. It’s nice to have a family-run place like this around. Breakfast was simple and felt like home. It’s right off the highway, with a restaurant in the parking lot if you don’t want to go far. The area is small and quiet, but it suited us perfectly. My father, boyfriend, and I will be back in the fall, and I’ll recommend it to anyone heading that way. Stayed: March 28-29 2018.

We were mostly out visiting family during the day and came back just to sleep, so this hotel suited us well. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The AC worked really well, and the water pressure was better than at other hotels I’ve stayed in. The person at the front desk, who I assume was the owner since we saw him whenever we passed, was kind and told us plainly that the pool was closed and breakfast wasn’t being served. We found a nice diner next door for breakfast. It was a pleasant stay, and I’d recommend it.
