Northwoods Inn & Suites Blackduck

The beds were comfortable, but the bedding was dirty. There was blood on the sheets, so we slept in our clothes on top of the comforter. We had two rooms, and both toilets had dried urine on them. The towels were brown and wet, the brown shower curtains were stained, and there was water buildup and mold on the shower heads and sink faucets. The mirrors were dirty too. We bought towels from Dollar General next door and Clorox wipes to clean the toilets, shower heads, and faucets before using them. We stayed two nights while visiting family, and we won’t be back. The hotel has potential, but it needs someone to care for it and a full update. The empty, dirty pool was an eyesore, and the ice makers were broken, scaled up, and a mess. Go to the Drake motel next to The Pond.

I needed to work remotely for a few days, and the desk in my room was just right. The wifi was fast and dependable. My room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. The owners were so welcoming and kind, and made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. I love this hotel.

The staff were incredibly nice and friendly. I was surprised by how clean and well cared for the rooms were, and the appliances were brand new. This place was great for my ice fishing trip!

They were so welcoming and went out of their way for us when we arrived late in the evening, after the restaurants had closed. They opened the breakfast area so we could grab a snack. Wonderful people!
