For work, I travel a lot, so I’ve dealt with plenty of hotel check-ins. Tasha makes it quick and easy every time, and she’s the most capable, amazing receptionist I’ve encountered. The rooms stay very clean, and asking for fresh towels, soap, or sheets never feels like a bother. The cleaner with the green hair has been my go-to for those supplies, and she’s polite and courteous too, even though she doesn’t work at the front desk.
The breakfast was a big step up from the Super 8, with plenty to choose from, including potatoes, sausage, cereal, coffee, juice, and milk. There’s also a pool and spa, which would be nice for unwinding on a business trip, and the hotel is across from the skatepark. I paid $115 for one person for one night. It’s a non-smoking building, though they accommodated me as a smoker by putting me near a side door so I could get outside conveniently. I can’t say whether I’d recommend it or not, but it’s a beautiful place. If you want a pool or spa, this Best Western in Blackfoot is a place to consider. I’d give it 10 out of 10 stars.
The staff were patient and kind when an unexpected situation with our child came up, handling it professionally and making us feel welcome. Their respectful, caring approach made the stay especially positive for our family. The hotel itself was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and it’s in a great location. We’re grateful for the outstanding service.
The location was convenient, the desk lady was nice, and the shower got nicely warm. The pool and hot tub were working too. Those were the few bright spots in a four-night stay that felt overpriced for such low quality. I regret choosing Best Western in Blackfoot after seeing the La Quinta in Pocatello, where I paid $40 less per night for a room twice the size and extremely clean. I’d take the 20-minute drive there. What a waste of time and money. The room wasn’t ready when we arrived: the floor hadn’t been vacuumed, gnats were around the sink, and I killed three mosquitoes the first night. The bathroom door wouldn’t latch, its fan didn’t work, and I tried to mask the smell with cologne. The beds were very hard and the pillows tiny. People above us stomped all night. Housekeeping came daily but only did the bathroom, leaving the sheets unchanged and the rest of the room uncleaned throughout our stay. Getting extra towels was a hassle too. I was sent to three different people, and the second had a whole cart of towels but wouldn’t let me take one, telling me to find the housekeeper for my side of the hotel. Don’t come to this Best Western.
Traveling with our autistic son can bring unexpected challenges, and the staff treated us with patience, respect, and genuine care the whole time. Their warmth and understanding are what made us feel so welcome, and we’re grateful for it. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-kept too. Our family recently stayed at Best Western Blackfoot, and we’ll definitely be back.
