There are some great places to eat nearby, but really, who needs more than the beach? At first I noticed the counters were short and there wasn’t an island by the sink. My wife reminded me she’d told them about my broken foot. For someone who couldn’t get around as well as usual, the setup actually made my stay more comfortable, and I appreciated it.

The club room on the roof was just right, with comfortable chairs and plenty of sun outside, plus comfy armchairs inside. On weekdays the pool and hot tub were practically empty. We also had great service. Our ocean-view room was excellent, with all the amenities we needed. We could watch the water at both high and low tide, which was a remarkable contrast. Being right next to the boardwalk made for fantastic walks.

The resort confirmed my booking.com reservation and charged my card, then canceled it just 4 to 5 hours before check-in, saying they were overbooked. The alternative places they offered were more than 15 miles from the original property. I feel I was misled and charged in bad faith. If I’d canceled within 24 hours, they would have kept the full amount. Very, very disappointing.

The team is kind, the location is great, and the property has a lot going for it. But there are some easy fixes that could make this an A+ stay. The knives in the kitchen are dull and a liability. Please replace them. For a property this size, new knives should be an easy expense. It’s like renting a car with bald tires. Also, the rooms aren’t set up well for toddlers or babies. Anything below 36 inches should be smooth or rounded, not sharp. The coffee and side tables need replacing. Cell reception is terrible across multiple networks. WiFi would solve that, but it costs $50 for 10 days. It’s 2025, and this is a standard amenity. You don’t expect to pay extra for toilet paper. The Chromecasts in the rooms would be great if we could use them without paying that WiFi charge, so that’s another amenity we can’t use. If you offer Chromecasts, include WiFi. Renting a car with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay doesn’t mean I have to buy a SIM card from the rental company to use maps or Spotify. My stuff just works. I don’t want a call to discuss this. Let’s not waste each other’s time. My feedback is above.
