Rodeway Inn & Suites Blanding

The room was good, but the service was trash. They never refilled the breakfast food, and it took forever for someone to come for checkout.

It was kind of meh. The bed was amazing, no complaints there. The sink was in the room, while the bath and toilet were behind a door. There was enough space to fit the sink in the bathroom.

The walls are thin enough that you hear the neighbors, and I could also hear water moving through the pipes inside the walls. The beds are old, and it was hard to get a decent night’s sleep. I wasn’t impressed and probably won’t be back. The guy at the front desk could use some lessons in how to treat guests.

There’s no elevator, which is worth knowing if you’re elderly or have a disability. The room was old and musty, and the pictures don’t really show the hotel’s condition. One morning I woke up to a roach swimming in the toilet, and a friend said they’d seen roaches crawling up the walls. Breakfast was bagels, cereal, and apples. We were six people on a group motorcycle ride and had arranged to stay two nights. Given other reviews, I asked at check-in for a room with hot water. The male receptionist replied passive-aggressively that I should run the water, and if it still wasn’t hot, there was nothing he could do. Blanding doesn’t have much, and Stone River Lodge is probably a better choice. Pass on this one if you can.
