Bloomfield Motel

HORRIBLE motel. Please take this as a warning and stay somewhere else. I came for the weekend to watch my nephews play football. My sister usually has me stay at her house, but there wasn't enough room, so I booked here. The owner or manager told me the rooms had been “newly renovated.” Mine didn't look that way at all: outdated furniture and sheets, three or four holes in the walls, mold on the shower curtain, and dust everywhere. The price wasn't cheap either, and it wasn't worth it. I'd rather have stayed at a Motel 6. Then I found multiple bedbugs. I started getting bites, so one night I removed the bedding and checked the mattress and box spring carefully. The next day, I told the manager, a tall white man I believe was named Tyler. He said it was just a regular bug and that mosquitoes caused my bites. He spoke to me as though I was stupid and had never seen a bedbug. I planned to upload a photo so people could judge for themselves. I also had AI Google scan it, and it identified a bedbug; my family members who saw the picture said the same. When I told him I still believed it was a bedbug, he got irritated and angry, like he didn't want to be told he was wrong. I checked out early and took the loss because they seemed unstable and I didn't think a fight was worth it. The people running this place didn't seem genuine or like they knew how to run a motel. I reported it to the health administration of New Mexico and hope the place gets shut down. It felt like a walking health hazard.
