Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Bloomington

We chose this as a layover stop partly because it doesn't allow pets. I have bad allergies and can't tolerate animal hair or dander. The room was spacious, very clean, and quiet, and breakfast was a nice hot meal. My only complaint is how low the toilet bowls are. My wife has a spinal condition and finds it difficult to get down that far. Otherwise, a great stay.

The check-in and checkout process was one of my favorite parts, and all the staff were very friendly. Rooms had plenty of space, and for the price I thought this was better than other hotels I've stayed at. Cleaning seemed great, though I looked up and got a surprise. I enjoyed my stay overall and would probably come back.

A roach crawled across my husband's bed. When he told the front desk, they didn't seem surprised at all. The response was just, sorry about that. Never again.

My stay at Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Bloomington on 10/23/25 was great. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff I met, especially Brian, were friendly and helpful. I had forgotten some hygiene items, and they provided them without any issue. The trouble started afterward, when I realized I'd left a pair of gauge earrings on the lamp in my room. Brian was very helpful and searched for them himself; he asked me to call back after he spoke with housekeeping. But when I followed up, I kept getting routed to reservations, who said they were on-site when they weren't, or being told Brian wasn't working, no matter when I called. Eventually I reached Ester at the front desk. She checked with housekeeping and said nothing had been found. She was polite, but after weeks of trying to get a straightforward update from someone who knew the situation, I felt brushed off. The stay was great, but the follow-up left me feeling underappreciated as a customer.
