The condition of this place felt less safe than a construction site, and staying there was almost as pleasant as a napalm bath. The parking lot potholes are so bad you might need a front-end alignment, and the front entrance was blocked and unusable. There were signs saying the doors were locked around the clock, but none of them actually were. Outlets throughout the building were burned, and I didn’t even check the smoke detector. The common-area walls were damaged enough to expose insulation. Definitely do not stay here.

We left before our booking was over because I’d had enough. We only chose this place because it accepted cats, but there are plenty of much better La Quintas. I’d avoid this one completely. The shower was awful. Its wall flexed when touched, there was black hair on it before we used it, and the spray flooded the bathroom. The curtain pressed against me between the wall and my shoulder, even though I’m an average-sized woman. The rooms smelled and felt gross, and the TV didn’t work. The microwave somehow left my popcorn both under-popped and burned. There’s no elevator in this two-floor hotel, though they do leave a luggage dolly upstairs for after you’ve carried your bags up. Room keys kept failing if they got too close to our phones. Breakfast was advertised as free, but it amounted to dry cereal without milk and bread too large for the toaster. I hope people read this and steer clear. I can’t understand how this place has customers.

Keep the lack of an elevator in mind if they offer you an upstairs room and you have heavy bags. Our room also had a leaking basin, no bathroom exhaust fan, and a door that was tricky to close. Breakfast had been advertised when we booked a week earlier, but none was available, and there was no airport shuttle either. I don’t know what the lot and connecting road are like in winter, but both had plenty of potholes.

The front desk staff seemed to understand the problems and offered extra comforters. Still, the whole hotel is falling apart. There was black mold behind the lobby wallpaper, the bedroom heat didn’t work, and the sink faucet was completely loose. Breakfast was instant oatmeal made with cold water, and you have to ask the front desk to use their microwave. I picked this place because it was cheap and near the airport, and you get about what you’d expect for the price.
