The breakfast is good, and the front desk staff and housekeepers have been attentive and caring. Everyone here has been a blessing to me, and I've felt comfortable during my stay. God bless them, the rest of my stay has been fine. My problem is the charges and the missing receipts. I've been here since Dec 5 and extended my stay several times. Each time, they put a hold on my card, so I thought those amounts had already been taken care of. I kept asking the desk for receipts, but they said they didn't know how to give me one. I was also allowed to make a reservation on Dec 14 and paid for it on Dec 15. Then today, 12/16/25, they charged me $763, leaving my bank account negative. I shouldn't have owed that if the holds covered my extensions. My bank statement and emails show charges for those nights, not holds, and now I've been charged again for nights I already paid for. One transaction is also listed twice, just two minutes apart, for the same amount. If I still owed $763, I don't see how they would have let me reserve without paying it first. I think the way this was handled is wrong, and I should have received receipts each time I extended my room. God bless them.

We're done staying here. Our room had no phone, so he had to go downstairs to speak with the desk. There were no bedside tables or lamps, and paint had dripped onto the shower door. It felt old, even though I suspect the owners are trying to do upgrades themselves. We complained and nothing was resolved. When we arrived, the front desk was completely empty, with a sign saying someone would be back soon. Breakfast was mediocre. I could say more, but I won't. Avoid this place unless the city has no other rooms.

This was my second stay, and it's still the best hotel in bloomington by far. It's quiet, quaint, peaceful, and doesn't feel overused. The place is always clean, with a restaurant, a casino, and somewhere to sit and talk. The front desk is great, too. Ms. Flagger was kind and friendly, a real check-in expert. We wanted a different room with a bathtub, and she sorted it out for us. She was heading home for the day, but came back to the desk to help, without any confrontation or unkind body language. She was totally professional and awesome. Try this place, you won't regret it. Get the jacuzzi room!

The AC in the room didn't work and we were suffocating, so we left the same day. I came with my family of seven for the 31st NYE party, and it was a huge disappointment. The DJ was a scam, playing prerecorded songs. Disgusting. Shame on the management and the DJ. I won't recommend this place for a stay or an event.
