Comfort Inn Schereville

The quiet room off the corridor was better than I expected. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were enough outlets for charging. Still, don’t count on the machines working. I paid with Apple Pay and the machine took my money without giving me a drink. The bigger issue was how the man at reception handled it. I politely explained that I’d paid but hadn’t received water. He was hard to understand, told me to call a number, then walked away. I said it was the hotel’s responsibility to mark a broken machine in the guest services area, but he sat down without listening. Customer relations: 10 out of / -10 😂

Clean place, comfy king bed, and the hot breakfast was good. There were just a few janky things. I’d definitely come back.

We had a nice stay while picking up my car. Breakfast changed from one morning to the next: bacon and eggs with other choices one day, then sausage and eggs plus other options the next.

I arrived a day ahead of schedule, and adding an extra night at check-in was easy. The room was clean and roomy. I’m glad I picked this place while visiting old childhood friends.
