Springhill Suites Bloomington

Breakfast had way more options than I expected and was really good. The hotel was great, staff very helpful, and the central location made it easy to walk anywhere.

1/15/26. I’ve been here three nights, and every staff member has been amazing. Josh at the bar can make you a drink that makes your night, and he’s a great person too. Kirby the manager went above and beyond. Housekeeping were extraordinary and checked in to see how things were, while the front desk made sure I had what I needed. They all made me comfortable and sent me off each day smiling. I’ll absolutely stay here every time. Brava and bravo!!

The rooms are fresh and quiet, in the classic Springhill Suites layout, and it’s close enough to walk to campus. Parking is available on the hotel’s lower level. This is one of our favorite Marriott brands, with a really good breakfast and very friendly staff.

I called ahead and spoke with Valerie at the front desk to ask whether my 18-year-old son could check in if I paid for the room in his name from out of town. She said there wouldn’t be a problem as long as he was 18. Then, 45 minutes later, my son called from the lobby. Valerie was no longer at the desk, and Lacy told him you have to be 21 to check in. That’s exactly why I called first, to avoid this situation. There was no understanding and the customer service was poor, to say the least. My 18-year-old is now over an hour and a half from home with nowhere to stay, despite my call to confirm. I’m severely disappointed with the company and this whole interaction. I’ll be talking to legal counsel to find out what could be done through litigation.
