Walking distance to everything Blowing Rock offers was the icing on the cake, and the value was outstanding. We spent two nights at The Getaway, and it exceeded our expectations. Downstairs had a comfortable living room and kitchen area plus a full bath; upstairs was a spacious bedroom and another full bath. It was spotless and one of the nicer places we’ve stayed, with a clean, relaxing, home-away-from-home feel after a full day exploring. We could hear the neighbors walking and talking through the thin walls. It wasn’t a deal breaker, but something to know. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

We had a great time at Getaway. Everything was clean, organized, and well maintained, and communication was great. We brought our two kids, and having two bathrooms was a plus. The location was great for walking everywhere. Highly recommend it!

The balcony was a lovely bonus. We sat out there in the afternoons with cocktails and snacks during our perfect birthday getaway. The Getaway was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed for three nights. The host communicated well and checked in during our stay. The location made it easy to walk to shops and restaurants, and check-in and checkout were simple. We received a door code when the room was ready. A perfect place to stay!

The owner had thoughtfully stocked essentials, from soap and shampoo to coffee for an early fresh-brewed cup. The townhome was clean, beautiful, comfortable, and spacious, and the location was ideal for walking to restaurants, shops, Chetola, and Bass Lakes. My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Getaway and will return when we visit lovely Blowing Rock again.

We had a great stay at the Getaway. It’s easy to walk to the shops and restaurants, and the balcony is a wonderful extra space. The staff answered our questions quickly, and checkout was very easy. We’ll book again!
