Days Inn Blue Springs

The room had a bad smell, and the surfaces hadn't been wiped after the previous guest, or maybe several guests before them. The lobby also looked unclean, so it seems the owner either can't or won't keep the property clean. I only stopped because it was close to the interstate and I needed sleep; otherwise, I'd avoid this place. One unusual feature was the shower, a fully enclosed plastic unit that seems to go in before the drywall. I'd never seen one like it.

I travel a lot for work with my kids, and the staff always put us on the first floor, which makes things easier. They're consistently friendly and accommodating. It's quiet and clean, the housekeeper checks whether I need anything when I'm staying several days, and the showers are hot. The beds are comfortable, too.

The front desk agent wasn't even at the property. They called in over Zoom and kept insisting the beds were queens, but they were barely bigger than twins. We'd booked two queen beds and got two tiny beds that weren't even full size for five people. The room smelled musty, the lobby stank of skunk, and neither the TV nor the in-room phone worked.

I'm local, but with renovations going on at home I needed somewhere close by, and Days Inn worked well. My room was clean and comfortable, and Jayme and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it to both travelers and people from the area.
