Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Atlanta Airport South, GA

It was a clean, inexpensive place to stay for one night before continuing to the next destination, and not too far from the airport. Even though it was really late, the little restaurant was open and the food was surprisingly okay. The restaurant smell wasn't great, though I guess you get used to it. The only real downside was that the shower's hot water was cold. I knew I wasn't staying for days, so it didn't bother me much.

The room was okay for our last-minute overnight stay, but the service was unlike any hotel experience I've had. Check-in staff were curt and got straight to the point. In the morning, the desk clerk ignored me completely when I asked a question, and the person setting up breakfast was snippy. The desk person was rude again at checkout. We stayed polite and left without making a fuss. I'm only writing this so the company knows how its employees are treating guests.

Tamara helped me when I was dealing with a major family health crisis and had accidentally booked the wrong room dates. She booked me at the front desk and worked to get a refund for my original nonrefundable booking. She was gracious and courteous, and went above and beyond when I really needed help. The rooms were clean, the restaurant food was tasty, the staff was lovely, and having laundry facilities was a big plus. 10/10 recommend.

The hotel looks nothing like the online photos, and the lobby, walls and carpet were filthy. I definitely don't recommend staying here, especially if booking through a third party. I booked through Expedia and drove 10 hours from home, but my bank card wasn't accepted for the deposit, a requirement that wasn't advertised on the website. The front desk guy with the nose ring was unprofessional, sassy and unhelpful. When I asked to cancel, he sent me to Expedia. I went through their cancellation steps to get a refund, and Expedia said they had to contact the property and speak with the manager to release the funds, following the hotel's policy to start a refund. Today, Expedia emailed that the property wouldn't refund me, even though I'd bought the cancellation package through Expedia. I basically lost money to this property. Maybe I did them a favor, since hopefully the money they took will go toward upgrades.
