It was adequate, but annoying, and I wouldn't stay again. The bed was reasonably comfortable, though it felt oddly lumpy. The room was mostly clean, but there was sticky stuff on the bathroom floor and mold or mildew spots high up on the shower walls, maybe hard to reach. The shower pressure was pitiful, and the toilet-area door squeaked loudly. Wi-Fi kept dropping, so I had to go through the slow, tedious login again and again. At one point it took numerous tries to reconnect. I could hear people in other rooms through the thin walls, along with a lot of highway noise. The woman at check-in wasn't very friendly either.

The room was clean and comfortable, and parking worked well for us while towing. It would be a good stop when we're traveling this way, but the TV was so glitchy it couldn't be used. That might be no big deal at a $65-a-night hotel, but this one costs $115. Unacceptable. We won't be back.

We were traveling back from California with our kids and picked what looked like a midway stop, the Quality Inn in Blythe, CA, off I-10. Google showed a 4.1 rating with mixed reviews, and I wish we'd paid more attention to the negative ones. The area felt sketchy when we arrived. We were first assigned a room, then the second room had food and debris all over the floor. The front desk person didn't believe us until she came to look, saw it herself, and offered another room. By then we didn't feel comfortable staying, especially with kids. We checked out at 4:40 PM, which should be verifiable on camera, and asked for a refund. They refused, citing a zero-cancellation policy. I asked for the manager, but he wasn't there. The employee said he was in a meeting, called him, and told me he wouldn't do anything. He never came out to speak to us. I emailed Choice Hotels customer service, but it still hasn't been resolved. The rooms were dirty, service unhelpful, and management unresponsive. Read other guests' experiences, look closely at room photos, and understand the cancellation policy before booking. There's a Best Western nearby that's much nicer for just a little more, worth it for peace of mind. Also, there were zero cars outside. Pull up and look at the other options before booking. We checked in and checked back out. They refused to check us out officially, so at 6:53 on 10/11 I went back and requested our room. I took photos and videos of the new room's floors, including a floor test video. The floors were still dirty, though the room looked clean. There's a hotel for everyone, but this isn't it for kids. Don't book online, go to the hotel first. Watch my video. No cancellations for a reason. Attendant: SAM. GENERAL MANAGER: Bunty Dawlawa, respond to my email!

The room was clean enough, but the beds were full-size mattresses, not queen-size as advertised. When I raised it at the front desk, they insisted all the beds in the hotel were only queen-size and gaslit customers.

Avoid this place at all costs. After breaking down on I-10, I was stranded all day waiting for the tow truck and had reserved a pet-friendly room. When I finally got there to check in, they said no pet-friendly rooms were left. They then claimed they couldn't refund me because the booking went through Expedia. When Expedia followed up about the refund, Quality Inn said it was because I had a cat that wasn't allowed. Total scammers, rude, unscrupulous, fraudulent, schyster business. The area also felt sketchy, with drug addicts hanging around.
