Days Inn Blytheville

The front desk was friendly and really helpful, and the pool was warm. We especially liked the breakfast, the best we’ve had. There were also places to eat and entertainment nearby. We had a really enjoyable stay.

We stay somewhere different every night for our company’s work across all 48 states, and we’ve never been charged for parking until this time. This visit they added an $11 parking fee on top of the room, though there was no fee last week. The cranky white woman who checked us in kept saying she was just doing her job and needs to learn customer service. It’s a Days Inn in the Wyndham network, but we got a credit card receipt instead of a printout of charges and fees. There were roaches on the nightstand too. We’ve stayed here twice recently because it’s the only hotel with enough parking for our truck and trailer. On the first stay, a pleasant young man checked us in. The room was clean and the AC cold, but the keys didn’t work at first and someone had to let us in. The bathroom also had no toilet paper or shower gel.

The fire detector had its battery door open and no battery. I tested it to see if it was wired directly, but it wasn’t. The place needs to be shut down. The ceiling was cracked and sagging in spots, the bed covers were filthy and deeply stained, and the chair was outdated and stained with who knows what. The backing on the bathroom mirror was coming off, leaving black gaps all over it. The shower curtain was so stained I skipped showering. Stay away.

I was here for work and got a great weekly rate for my extended stay. The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, and it stayed quiet enough to get work done. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of choices. Check-in was quick, and the front desk staff were friendly and professional from the moment I arrived. They also gave me useful suggestions for places to eat and local attractions. A really good stay for work or leisure.
