We stayed twice in the same week, in two different rooms, and neither visit was a good experience. The hotel was better than the attached Perkins, but still not good: service was poor, the toilet in our room was clogged, the outlets didn't work, and the AC unit was loud. They put us in the far back row of what seemed like a quiet, not very busy hotel. Breakfast was a voucher for Perkins, where service was unmanaged and understaffed. We waited a long time for below-average food. Just go to the next town, it's likely to be better.

The attached restaurant's service was awful. We waited over 30 minutes, and then they asked for our voucher before taking the order. There was basically no service, worse than self-service, where you could at least get your food and move on. The old place also had smelly carpets. Don't let the 4.3 rating fool you, this ruined my plans for the whole day.

Our updated two queen room was clean, and the shower pressure was good. Having a Perkins Restaurant attached was really convenient, kind of like Waffle House meets Cracker Barrel. A very nice place and a great Holiday Inn overall.

The bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. The room was nice, but it needs a thorough cleaning. I wiped almost every surface with Lysol wipes, and the bathroom light switch was filthy. The bathroom door was really sticky. Check-in at the front desk was fine. We were in Room 168 by an outside door, so we could hear it slamming and people making noise on the stairs with their luggage. I'd stay again, but I hope housekeeping gets the message.

We've stopped here a few times during a cross-country trip. The hotel is large enough to get lost in, but the rooms have lots of space to spread out, and it's nice to have several food options. It's pet friendly, approved by our dog, and the beds are comfy. The Bistro's cheeseburger and lobster bisque are the way to go!
