I’ve never had a worse hotel stay. The rooms are run down, and the whole property feels outdated and unsafe. People were wandering through the parking lot at night looking into cars, and there were random knocks at our door at 2 a.m. For a hotel in such an affluent area, the condition is subpar, well below Motel 6 standards. Executive management and ownership need to invest in the property. This isn’t what I expect from an IHG hotel. Please do better.

The pool area is lovely, the hot tub was nice, and my son enjoyed an early swim at 7 a.m. The front desk staff were friendly. The man apologized for the noise, and a woman in the morning kindly answered my breakfast questions. Breakfast is offered, but it wasn’t great. Staff seemed understaffed, and the gate noise didn’t seem new to them. Our room was on the small side, with tiny but comfortable beds. It was clean and there were no bugs, but the shower clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned: there was hair on the wall, razor shavings along the sides and back of the tub, and dirty fingerprints in the shower. The room could also use some maintenance. A gate used to exit without going through the lobby slams shut, and the sound carries across this side of the building. I barely slept. I’m here for cancer treatment and had hoped to rest before my five-hour drive home, so that was especially disappointing. I’d stay again rather than pay $450 a night elsewhere, but I’d request an interior room and keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

We booked at the last minute while in town for a funeral. We paid $200 a night, which seemed high compared with the usual rates, though it was the most affordable option at the time. The best part was the spacious setup: a bedroom plus a living room, each with a TV, plenty of counter space, and a big fridge. The beds were small but comfortable. The fold-out couch bed wasn’t very comfy, but having a separate living area was useful. In March, at least, the other guests were partying day and night like it was spring break. The pool is big and attractive, clearly a draw, but we could hear people laughing and talking until after midnight. With the pool in the middle and outdoor walkways, I wonder if the building carries sound especially well. The AC blew very cold for a few degrees, then stayed off for a long time, so the temperature fluctuated a lot. No complaints about the staff. It wasn’t the worst place, and thanks.

We were comfortable during our Jan. 16-18, 2026 stay for the Pepsi Battle of the Bands at FAU stadium. The weekend price for three of us was great, and our Queen Suite was more spacious than I expected. The sofa bed was comfortable, though I wish it had properly fitting sheets and a comforter instead of just a thin flat sheet. The queen bedroom was fine, and the bathroom looked modern and updated, but its shower floor pan seemed old and due for replacement. We understood, since the property is older and undergoing some renovations. The location was excellent: about a 10-minute drive to the stadium, 23 minutes to Wilton Manor, and 35 minutes to Miami. Front desk staff were fantastic and let me check in 30 minutes early. When we asked room service for more towels, pillows, and sheets, they arrived at our door within 15 minutes. The room was clean, the attendants were great, and the staff were wonderful. We didn’t get to try breakfast, so I can’t comment on it. The walls are thin, so napping during the day might be tough. At night, though, it was as quiet as a rat pissing on cotton.
