Hyatt Place Boca Raton/Downtown

We had a good stay. The room had plenty of space, comfy pillows, a walk-in shower, big bath towels, and decent water pressure. Breakfast each morning was lovely, and the staff were friendly. They welcome dogs, though the fee gets expensive if you’re only there a night or two. Covered garage parking costs $25 a night. Flanigan's is right across the street, with really good food at reasonable prices. The baby back ribs are excellent!

The East-facing side by the pool is the one I’d ask for. My reservation included hot breakfast, with real eggs, meat, fruit, and cereal, and it was much better than the usual continental spread. I’m picky about coffee, but I liked the complimentary coffee too. Parking is covered and costs extra, though that’s common around here and the fee is lower than at nearby hotels. The area felt very safe. The downtown location puts you near restaurants, shops, the beach, and FAU. The rooms are updated, and the AC is quiet. Most of all, the team made my stay: Naas, Isaac, Cassie, Amy, and Mirvana were wonderful, friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend the Hyatt in downtown Boca if you need a place in Boca Raton.

Dennis deserves a special thank you. He was kind and professional, and did more than expected to make the stay memorable. The rest of the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive from beginning to end. We spent three nights at the Hyatt Boca Raton and had a fantastic time. The location made it easy to enjoy Boca Raton while still giving us a comfortable, relaxed place to come back to. We’d gladly stay again and recommend it.

The free breakfast was the best part, though by around 9 AM, when it got busy, there weren’t enough plates or utensils. It was kind of funny watching well-dressed Boca guests rush around and block each other to get forks. Check-in felt deceptive and robotic. This is the only hotel I’ve been to where they expected me to change my key card and get locked out every day, while acting like that was normal. The app also didn’t explain that paid parking was essentially required. They mentioned “free parking” “somewhere” only after I complained. The garage is $25 a night, a big unexpected cost for a stay of a few days. When I asked for it to be removed, staff called me unethical, gaslit me, and argued against a point I hadn’t made. The rooms were pretty small, and the bathroom door locks were so poorly maintained they didn’t work. If you use a HYATT credit card or book with points, they seem to treat you like a second-class guest for not paying full price at the front desk. And to the agent who said they’d “document” me, go ahead. Be my guest.
