Oasis Boca Raton

The pool wasn’t open during our stay, but I got a coupon for a restaurant I was already planning to visit. The hotel is under renovation, though everyday housekeeping still came by and kept the room neat and clean. It was quiet, and the manager Louis was especially helpful and friendly, making sure my family and I were looked after throughout the stay. A decent place with accommodating staff.

I’ve been staying at The Oasis for three months, and it’s been a pleasant experience. The renovations can be disruptive now and then, but the staff have been very accommodating. I’m looking forward to seeing how it looks when the work is finished. Naomi at the front desk has been especially helpful and always goes out of her way to make things comfortable. A shoutout as well to Manager Luis, Housekeeping Manager Marcus, and the whole housekeeping team. They clean the place top to bottom every day. It’s been a pleasure staying here.

We eventually got a room because a woman on staff took the time to check again. By then it was almost 9 PM. The three of us had to share one bed, but after a long day traveling and sightseeing, we just needed somewhere to sleep. We still had to pay again, despite having paid for our original booking a month in advance. Here’s how we got there: at 8 PM, only 10 minutes from the accommodation, we received a message canceling that night’s reservation. We had booked a double room for the three of us, all women, and the website and their own policy said check-in was available until midnight. When we called, they said they were full and told us to find somewhere else. We went in person because other places were five times the price and it was already late. The receptionist said this had happened before because of overbooking, confirmed there was no room, and promised a refund, but offered no alternative. We asked for the manager’s number. When we called, he hung up after saying, “you girls should solve it i can do anything “. Later, manager Louis Santiago told us to “figure it out” and hung up again. We stayed polite and only asked for another room or alternative accommodation for the night. This kind of thing shouldn’t even happen in Europe. Nearby, what seemed like illegal street racing made us feel unsafe, so we went back inside to ask for help. A different staff member, a woman, understood that three young women were stranded at night after the manager had hung up on us. She checked again and found an available room. Without her, we would have been left on the street at 9 PM after paying in advance. Strongly do not recommend this place. Absolutely unacceptable.

I’d had good service the first time, but the next visit was a very different experience. Another woman and I waited in the lobby for almost an hour, with nobody at the front desk. Calling the number listed online didn’t help, since it wasn’t for that location. When the desk attendant finally came back, she didn’t apologize or say anything. She looked like she’d been napping. Really disappointing and strange. I’m not sure I’ll return. I’ve never had a hotel experience like that.
