Goldstar Inn

The manager is one of the kindest and most caring motel managers I've met. If you've stayed here, you'll notice how gentle and kind they are. It's a no-frills motel in a part of Selma, not far from food and markets. If you're nearby, visit the Valleta supermarket and get some fresh Tamales!!! 🤤🤤🤤

It's pretty quiet at night, and the rooms have a nice little kitchenette.

We stayed upstairs in a 2 bedroom at Goldstar Inn in November 2023. The microwave was downstairs, and the room had roaches. At first there were only a few, but it started to feel like an infestation, especially behind the fridge. The room hadn't been properly cleaned after the previous occupants. People in some of the other rooms smoked a lot, and the smoke came into ours. There was a no smoking sign, but people still smoked, and nobody who doesn't smoke wants secondhand smoke. Some of the other guests seemed really shady at times. There was also a mess with the stove, and I heard other people complain too. One time a car had bees on it, and the Bee guy had to come get the Bee Queen first. That was quite a sight. I'm grateful we had somewhere to sleep, but Goldstar Inn needs to do better. Whether people are renting long-term, for one night, or through LA Family Housing as someone mentioned, they deserve a comfortable space free of roaches and smoke.

The room was clean, and the floors looked new, but there wasn't much furniture, just one chair and no table. The towels were old and frayed. There was no coffee maker or microwave in the room, and the bathroom had no vent. The dark paint made the room feel very gloomy. The motel is in a rough area.
