The Inn at the Tides

The pool and hot tub were heated just right, and the water wasn’t too chlorine-y. The grounds were really beautiful, the staff warm and helpful, and our clean, quiet, cozy room had comfortable beds. Everyone slept well, and we’re looking forward to returning. One small hassle was towels: there was only one pool towel for our family of three, and we had to hunt for more since none were provided at the pool. It would also help to have more hooks or racks in the room. Ours had just one, so drying towels and swimsuits was difficult. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Sitting by the fireplace with a glass of the complimentary wine, watching boats move around the bay, felt like a little slice of heaven. The continental breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh, crisp, delicious croissants. This was my first time in Bodega Bay, and The Inn at the Tides was a perfect introduction to the community. The room was spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean.

The grounds are beautiful and quiet, with buildings separate from each other and rooms that open directly outdoors. There’s an outdoor pool and sauna, and the front desk was very helpful. We found a complimentary bottle of wine in the room fridge, which was impressive. Our room was very nice, with great beds, a nice large bathroom, and a partial view of the Pacific ocean. There was plenty of parking, too.

We had a lot of rain, but the big picture window made it enjoyable to watch the storm. The mattresses were fantastic, and the place is a great base for day trips. The pool and hot tub were really nice. It was spring break locally, so I thought all the kids going in and out might cool the hot tub down, but it stayed perfectly hot. There’s a fog horn every 8 seconds, a low sound that bothered me at first. Once I knew what it was, I barely noticed it.
