University Inn

Ginny made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. She was attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful, and her service really stood out. The University Inn in Boiling Springs, NC is surrounded by nature, so it feels peaceful and relaxing. The heated pool and hot tub were a highlight after a long day, and there are a couple of grills for BBQ. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a microwave, mini fridge, and Keurig coffee maker. Breakfast was self-serve and had what we needed for a quick morning meal: bagels, cereal, make-your-own waffles, apple and orange juice, and fresh bananas and apples. It was a good value and a comfortable stay, and I'd definitely return.

We're staying here because of a moisture problem in our apartment, and of course there's no place like home, but the people here have made things incredible. The owner is very polite, even though I don't know his name, and Chris, Jeannie, and Jennifer have been phenomenal. They make sure we've got what we need and treat us so well. The rest of the staff are great too. It's a quiet, laid-back place, the free breakfast is amazing, and my children love the waffles and juice bar. They allow pets as well. I absolutely love it here. I'd come back for a few nights on a business trip or just to relax. Couldn't ask for better service or a nicer environment. Stay here!

I came to town for a hobby convention at the local county fair grounds, and the hotel was easy to find and close to where I needed to be. My room was in A1 condition, and the place was orderly and quiet, with the kind of comfort you want out in the countryside of the hill country. I've been busy, so this review is a little late. I'll try to be quicker next time. I'll book here again for future events.

The beds were fine, and the front desk was friendly, but the hot tub was absolutely the nastiest I've ever used. It was dim by the tub at night, and the water felt lukewarm at best. When I got out, I stepped on something that looked like a dried turd. We turned on our phone lights and saw scum and clear signs of growth in the tub. I couldn't shower enough that night. My foot became red, and I have to get it checked out.
