Airport Inn Boise

The coffee was the standout for me. It came from one of those machines that grinds the beans for whichever brew you choose, and it was better than the coffee at the last four hotels I’d stayed in. The breakfast was OK, the rooms were clean, and the pool is much bigger than at some newer places. It’s just across from the airport, which could be useful, and it costs a few dollars less than the name brand hotels down the street. I have no complaints, and I’d recommend it. This isn’t the newest hotel, but that can be a plus.

Chris at the front desk was kind and helpful in the morning. The night before, after a long day on the road, Ashley and Michael, the new owners, went out of their way to find a room for my friend and me, even though it was very late and they were almost fully booked. They got one cleaned and ready in record time and were so accommodating. It was the best hospitality I’ve had at a hotel or motel. Thanks for taking care of us, and good luck with the new business!

The rooms were clean, but we had to ask for a shower curtain and the drains were slow. There’s no elevator, the building is very old, and the beds are only small doubles. It looked like people were living there. The front desk staff seemed more interested in standing outside, visiting and smoking, than helping guests. Breakfast wasn’t... I’ll leave it there.

Shawn was so friendly and helpful, and he’s the main reason I’m giving this place five stars. Only smoking rooms were available, but housekeeping does a good job keeping the smell down. The room and bed were clean, and the bed was about what you’d expect at a cheaper hotel. The hair dryer had some smoke stains, which isn’t too surprising in a smoking room.
