We’ve stayed here twice now, first for one night in 2021 and again more recently. The shared bathroom down the hall worked fine and there were no clashes with other guests, though we liked our earlier private-bath room better. It wasn’t available when we booked this time. We used the shared kitchen for a little meal prep, including reheating leftover pizza, and watched TV in the common living room. It’s a different feel from a hotel, but the quiet residential setting and smaller house suit me better. The place is clean and cozy, and the hosts are friendly and gave us useful ideas for our two days in Boise. We could walk to good restaurants and the Boise River, about a mile away. The daily beer, or wine for my wife, was a nice unusual touch. The beer garden wasn’t open to the public during our midweek visit, so I can’t speak to that, though its backyard setting looked really attractive.

Nan was lovely to talk with, and the beer garden was such a fun place to unwind and mingle with locals. We stayed in the Skye room and would happily recommend it. Franklin house is tucked into a cozy neighborhood, and we really felt like part of the community during our stay.

We only had one night, which wasn’t enough. The backyard beer garden was great, with bright colors, hammocks, and plenty of drink choices. Our Skye room was light and cozy, and I loved having a private bathroom and being on the first floor. The house itself is adorable and comfortable. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

Nan cooked breakfast for us on our last day, and it was such a kind gesture. She’s a wonderful cook, and the backyard bar was lovely to have so close. The bartenders were fantastic too. It’s an adorable home in a great location, and Nan is the sweetest host I’ve met. I can’t wait to return, and can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we visit. Definitely recommend it.

We had a great time here, especially on our first night when the beer garden was open to the public. Kevin and Sienna, the bar staff, were fun to spend the evening with and shared some helpful local tips. The B&B side had a couple of small drawbacks: it was a bit hard to communicate with the staff, and the fridge was missing most of the drinks listed. We still enjoyed the stay.
