La Quinta Inn & Suites Brunswick

We left without spending even two hours in the room and booked at the hotel across the street. An employee there told us Paragon had some shady business going on. The staff here were rude, the room was disgusting, and it should be shut down. We booked through booking.com because the pictures showed a beautiful, clean room. Instead, the bathroom was already used and clogged, and my brother and I didn’t use it at all. The phone didn’t work, the appliances were rusty, and the little desk wasn’t even somewhere we could sit. We told the manager, who went in to “clean the room” and fix the phone. I’m eight months pregnant and very sensitive to smells. The room smelled dirty and mildewy, there was mold on the walls, and the bathroom had a terrible urine smell as soon as you opened the door. About 30 minutes later he called us back in, but the bathroom was still dirty. The air conditioning had also started making a loud noise, like the system might not work. We spent about an hour taking pictures before we spotted a roach in the bathroom. Seeing one baby roach made me think there would be others. We called booking.com, and they spoke to the front desk. The manager said we hadn’t complained about anything. They wouldn’t give us another room or a refund.
