The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we could bring our dog since the hotel is pet friendly. Breakfast was complimentary and great, especially the waffles shaped like Texas. The biscuits tasted homemade and were amazing. The rooms seem recently remodeled. Our first room had a king bed and jacuzzi tub, but smelled horribly of smoke even though the hotel is supposed to be non-smoking. My husband asked for another room with the same amenities, and they moved us downstairs to a smoke-free room. There were lots of ladybugs on the bathroom ceiling in that room. I’d read they’re common in hotels looking for warmth and moisture, and we didn’t mind. Ladybugs are good omens, lol.

I couldn’t even take a bite of breakfast, it was that bad. The room was unappealing and smelled terrible, and the carpet was completely damp. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly: there was pee and toilet paper in the unflushed toilet, no paper on the holder or in the bathroom, and eggshells in the sink.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, and breakfast the next morning had plenty of good options. We got to La Quinta Inn a little after 1 a.m. after a long day of travel, and the receptionist was so kind and welcoming that check-in felt easy. It was a great stay, and the staff made us feel at home. We’d definitely come back.

The location was great, and the front desk staff and maids were friendly. But the hard bed and pillows made it uncomfortable, and the shower head was rusty, though tolerable. I was glad this was only a temporary hotel stay and happy to get back to my own bed.

Sylvia was very polite when we checked in and helped my family and me find food and entertainment nearby. The rooms are clean, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. My wife and I stay at this particular hotel every time we visit my home state, and we’ll keep coming back whenever we’re in Texas.
