Hampton Inn & Suites Boise-Downtown

The team surprised us with a thoughtful little gift for our 25th wedding anniversary, and it meant a lot to me. We also loved the location of the Hampton Inn Downtown Boise, convenient and walkable for exploring the city. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed, and breakfast had plenty of great choices. Eric welcomed us at check-in, was polite and incredibly helpful, and set a great tone for the whole stay. He just seemed like an all-around great guy. One of our best hotel experiences, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Boise.

Downtown is the big draw here. Restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and entertainment are all within easy walking distance, so I barely needed my car. It made going out to dinner, catching live music, or just wandering around town simple. For travelers who want to explore without driving and parking, the location works really well, whether you’re here for work or fun. The Hampton Inn itself was quiet and welcoming, a comfortable home base for seeing Boise. My room was clean, well maintained, and easy to unwind in after a day of travel or exploring. The bed was cozy, too. For a comfortable stay in the middle of downtown, it’s a solid choice.

There are lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance, and breakfast was pretty good, with protein choices, oatmeal, and several kinds of yogurt. The rooms were good. The parking garage was useful, though it was expensive and awkward to navigate. Getting in and out was cumbersome, and I had to call the front desk every time I parked. The phone app was supposed to open the garage, as staff said at check-in, but it never worked for me. On most weekdays, dumpsters were loaded or unloaded between 5 and 6 a.m. I think that was happening in the alley, so the hotel may not have been able to control it.

I spent 30 days here on a business trip, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was good, and the other amenities worked well. Housekeeping did their best throughout the stay. The breakfast staff were also great about special diets, and even smiled when we asked them to open earlier. The city center has plenty of bars, breweries, restaurants, and shops, while the nearby hills offer good outdoor options. Local bike shops had mountain bikes available and were a 10-minute walk away. The hotel was easy to reach by car, with a large city-owned parking garage. The main downside was that hotel guests had limited parking during downtown events. The location worked perfectly for combining work and leisure.
