Hilton Garden Inn Boise Downtown

Being right beside the State Capitol and close to places like the zoo made it easy to walk around, and that was a big plus for our church event. The room itself needed more attention: there were visible marks on the chairs and in the shower, and traffic noise carried in at night. After our five-hour trip, we’d asked for an extra bed and just wanted to sleep, but we had to make it ourselves. At every other hotel we’ve stayed in, the extra bed was already set up. The conference was also here, and both the women’s and men’s restrooms were dirty during the event. The manager should keep an eye on them when there’s a conference.

The pool was decent, though the hot tub had a lot of foam and the jets felt more aggressive than at other places. There’s no free breakfast either. For $16, you can get a waffle and two meats, but I’d rather spend that somewhere with better value. Downtown shopping was nearby, which was nice, but getting into the parking lot was a pain and parking itself wasn’t great. Once we unpacked, we noticed the pack and play for our child had a pretty large rip. I told a staff member so they’d know it wasn’t us, but no one offered a replacement. I also found an empty soda can and a chocolate truffle pushed behind the bed frame. I could reach the chocolate and throw it away, but not the can.

Kat (KAT) made a stressful start to our Boise trip feel completely different. We’d checked into another hotel first and realized it wasn’t going to work, so we called the Hilton Downtown. Kat got us into a clean, safe room early, and the view was incredible. She was welcoming, suggested things to do around Boise, and gave us useful tips for activities. Her kindness, professionalism, and care really stood out. The hotel is bright, spotless, and feels safe, and everyone we met was friendly. Kat made the stay memorable. If you’re visiting Boise, I’d stay at the Hilton Downtown.

It’s close to downtown, but there’s basically nothing complimentary besides coffee. Even as a Gold or Diamond member, I couldn’t use food and beverage credits, and the fridge didn’t work. There is a microwave. I used to stay here twice a month, but they don’t take points anymore, so I’ve switched to other places and now avoid this hotel.
