Hotel 43

Hotel 43 has a great central location, a boutique feel, and good value. The rooms were neat, clean, comfortable, and a good size. The staff made us feel welcome, with a special shout out to Avery at the front desk and Cooper the bellman, both professional and funny. Another plus is that the hotel connects to Chandlers, the best bar restaurant in Boise. Definitely check it out. We had a fantastic time.

The room had a few comfort issues: it felt a bit dated, the bed wasn’t as comfortable as I’d expected, the shower was small, and the water pressure was weak. None of that was a dealbreaker, but it stood out. Still, Hotel 43 is clean and well kept, and the staff seemed to care about guest comfort. They were friendly and helpful from check-in onward. The downtown location is hard to beat, with restaurants and plenty to do an easy walk away. Solid four out of five for me, mainly thanks to the service and location.

Management’s response was deeply disappointing. I couldn’t commit to my reservation because of life changing circumstances, but the Hotel refused to cancel it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here for that reason, and I’d be cautious about booking The Grove Hotel too, since it’s part of the same group. There was no basic human kindness in how this was handled. If your plans might change, stay somewhere else. They won’t support you.

After checking out, I realized I’d left my toiletry bag behind, so I asked my girlfriend to pick it up. My toothbrush and other small toiletries were still there, but my watch, silver bracelet, and bottle of cologne were missing. I stayed from September 19 to September 21, 2025, and everything had seemed to go smoothly until then. I’m really disappointed. I expected the staff to act with honesty and integrity, and now I don’t feel I can trust that my belongings are safe there. Guests should be able to feel their personal items will be respected and secure. I can’t recommend this hotel.
