The rooftop view was amazing, and our dinner reservation at the Supper Club was just as good. The service there was impeccable without being overbearing, the food was excellent and fairly priced, and I can’t wait to try more of the menu. The hotel itself is clean and inviting, from lobby to room. Our room was quiet, easy to get around, and had a great layout with plenty of amenities. It’s centrally located downtown, so walking to nightlife after dinner is easy. From valet when we arrived to the front desk at checkout, the team treated us like royalty. They’re true ambassadors for the brand and made the atmosphere feel special. This was our first visit in February, and wow. I can’t imagine a better Boise hotel. Give yourself a staycation at the Renegade.

Loved the in-room Nespresso machine and the snacks and mini bar, and the restaurant options on site or nearby were great. Parking was a little confusing, and the shower’s fully glass enclosure left very little privacy for the bathroom, including the toilet. The rooms had quality furniture, and everything was extremely clean. Customer service and amenities were excellent. Highly recommend.

This was our second visit. We’d stayed just after the hotel opened and came back for four nights to see how it had developed. The rooms were clean and nicely appointed, but we were assigned one facing an alley, with nothing to look at but garbage dumpsters. Every morning around 4 a.m., the truck woke us as it emptied them noisily for 10-15 minutes. Make sure you don’t end up in an alley room. Service was inconsistent. Front desk staff generally said hello as we passed, and valet opened the door quickly. But on our first night, we sat at the bar for more than 10 minutes while all three bartenders ignored us, chatting with each other and other guests. We left. The next morning, we also couldn’t get anyone’s attention for coffee. There was no one else waiting, but the barista walked past several times without greeting or acknowledging us for minutes, though he did help the man ahead of us with change. We planned to mention it at checkout, but nobody even asked how our stay was. Downtown is walkable from here, and there’s an on-site coffee bar. The rooms are nice enough, but service is spotty, and the hotel seems to be trying too hard to create a certain identity without quite getting there.

For business travel, the hotel was beautiful and had a great atmosphere, with friendly people, but it missed some basics for me. My king room had no closet or drawers, just a wooden wardrobe that wasn’t very useful and a small clothes rack in the safe compartment. I could hang pants on the few hangers, but that was about it. The vanity was small but fine for one person. The desk worked for a laptop, though the chair sat too low and its casters wouldn’t roll on the carpet. Maybe I’m not the target guest. I was there for a three-day work trip. The stay was fine, and maintenance was responsive and helpful when I needed a shower head replaced. I also asked for a full size ironing board, but got a tiny one with wobbly five-inch legs. I wasn’t sure where I was supposed to use it, on the floor? The rooftop bar was lovely, with good drinks and nice views. Duck fat fries were great, and the sliders were good but a bit too smoky. Blue Collar coffee shop had great muffins and coffee. I attended an event on the eighth floor one night; the food was good, the two bartenders were great, and the heated outdoor patio was comfortable.

The room’s dimmable lights were a lovely touch, and the copper tub was magical. It comfortably fit two average height and weight adults. We also enjoyed the fireplace, big TVs, room service, and friendly staff. I loved the lighting, decor, and overall feel throughout the room and hotel. The romance package was a great deal, since the $100 credit covered food, parking, gratuity, and more. Such a great experience.
