The manager on duty was cheerful and polite, and the small horseshoe-shaped property felt comfortable. We didn’t feel unsafe, though the door could use another lock. Some towel racks seemed to be missing after the room’s refurbishment. The room itself was clean, with a comfortable bed, working A/C, refrigerator, microwave, and good hot water and pressure. There were more than a dozen security cameras around the property, but none in the rooms. For the $60 we paid on a Saturday night in October 2024, it was fine. We thought it seemed like the best place in Bolivar for an overnight stay, as long as you’re not expecting a four- or five-star hotel.

The water pressure was great, and the cleaning ladies seemed really sweet. It’s a handy last-minute stop if you don’t need to stay long, and the rooms aren’t badly priced. The room I had could’ve used a little patching here and there. I haven’t seen the more expensive rooms, so I can’t comment on those. The location is great for a hotel.

We had to ask repeatedly for towels and tissue, then buy our own because they wouldn’t give us any. The rooms were only partly cleaned, and nobody came to clean ours during our stay. They also charge to unlock the door if you leave your key inside.

The people here were rude and inconsiderate. There’s no public WiFi, just WiFi for them, since they live inside the lobby. It’s not kid-friendly or pet-friendly.
