The room smelled awful, including the no-smoking room. The sheets looked like they’d been used in smoking rooms, with cigarette holes, lots of hair, and a generally gross feel. There was hair elsewhere too, so it didn’t look like the room was cleaned well. People smoked outside all the time, so the cigarette smell was hard to avoid. The shower head was right in the middle of my back, and the bed was very uncomfortable. When it stormed, the thin door let in enough noise to keep me awake. Several things were broken or in mediocre shape, including the toilet paper holder. I couldn’t seem to change the shower temperature, though maybe I was doing it wrong. The WiFi was useless for me. It barely worked, and I could only use Google. Breakfast was also temporarily unavailable due to the COVID-19 pandemic, even though that hadn’t been a big issue for a while. The only possible upsides are lots of smoking rooms, some pet access, and a cheap price. You get what you pay for. If those things don’t matter to you, I can’t see a reason to stay here unless you hate yourself.

We spent two weeks here while my husband worked on the pipeline, and during the last week we started getting bites. One night we stripped the bed in room 106 and found a bed bug infestation. There were so many that we felt they had been there much longer than our two weeks. When my husband told the manager/owner, he first admitted they’d had a bed bug problem before, then blamed us for bringing them in. I’m very clean, treat my bed every two years, and never keep one longer than eight years, so I don’t agree with that claim. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless it’s your only option. If you do, check the mattress, especially in room 106.

There were stains and long black hairs on the bed, so I called the front desk. The man didn’t sound surprised, which made it seem like this happened often. I thought he was offering another suite because of his heavy accent, but he said he’d bring fresh sheets. Why hadn’t housekeeping left the room spotless? Changing the sheets myself isn’t my job at a hotel.

I was there for less than ten minutes before noticing stains on the sheets and a dirty bathroom. The front desk said I could get a refund if I hadn’t used anything, which I hadn’t, so I asked for it. He checked the room, which was understandable, then charged me $20 because one bed’s blanket had a wrinkle. As I was leaving, I said, “Thank you for your help, have a nice day,” and he shushed me with a hand gesture. The service was terrible, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
