The scenery at Enchantment Resort is breathtaking, with a cinematic red rock backdrop and lots of ways to enjoy it, from hiking to relaxing by the pool. The atmosphere is world-class, though the resort comes with some frustrating hurdles. The food was just okay. Taste and portions both fell short of what I expected for the prices and setting. The biggest problem was Wi-Fi. There's only one network for the whole property, and it kept dropping several times an hour. I thought it might be my phone, but I tried three devices and had the same issue on each. I asked staff if there was another network, and they said the shared one was the only option. For a resort of this caliber, I expected a stable connection.

The food has gone downhill since my earlier visits, and it's overpriced for what you get. Service was really poor this time too. Management apologized when I explained my frustrations but didn't take any further action. They gave me an email address and said they'd reply the next day, but it's been six days since I wrote and nobody has responded. Enchantment used to be my favorite spa and nature resort, and I recommended it to lots of people. The changes over the years haven't been for the better, and guests can no longer use the Mii Amo spa amenities that used to be included with a stay. A week before we arrived, spa services were already booked, and I couldn't cancel the room at that point. Rooms cost $1000 a night, which isn't worth it to me without spa access. I did manage to get a last-minute cancellation for one spa service during our stay. There are better spa resorts in the country, and I won't return.

We came for some much-needed quiet and enjoyed the peaceful setting, fantastic service, pool, and tennis courts. The main pool and jacuzzi have beautiful views, and I appreciated that the pool was heated. The resort is spread out and remote in the middle of Boynton Canyon, with direct access to two hiking trails. Our Junior Suite 2 Queens room had a good layout and size, a fireplace, a patio with a lovely view, and a huge bathroom with a shower and oversized tub. Still, the carpet and broken sink showed the resort's age. Both restaurants were just okay and far too expensive for the food's quality, size, and taste, so after trying each several times, we drove to Sedona for dinner. The spa amenities were nice, but my massage was disappointing. We aren't sure we'd return, since the price feels too high for what you get.

The location is amazing, with easy access to trails and lovely sitting areas where you can take in the views. There are heated pools and lots of other activities too. Staff were very friendly and focused on service. The restaurants and bars were decent, though the food and drinks are on the pricey side. Excellent resort, a real hidden gem.

The rooms are lovely, the views are stunning all day, and it's a great place to hike from. Most of the employees were great too, and overall it was worth it for my party. Food was decent, but very expensive, like Four Seasons prices. Cocktails ran $20-100, really. Trailhouse was mixed: one guy mostly talked about being a professional guide and how what he liked was more badass than what we might like, so he wouldn't recommend anything. That was pretty lame. A different employee was fantastic when we went back a second time. The fees are still ridiculous, 2-5x what the same thing might cost elsewhere. And one employee said our drone was fine, then another yelled at us and said it was against policy.
