After a full day snowboarding, the seamless keyless entry and nearly contactless check-in were very welcome. We booked on the 1850 Hotel website and got a personal text confirmation plus follow-up messages before arriving. The lobby and social space felt like a stylish modern home, with the bar and restaurant carefully put together. Our room was immaculate, the mattress was among the most comfortable we’ve slept on, and the furniture felt premium. The blackout blinds made the room completely dark, perfect after a long day outside. We usually stick with Marriott, but we’re glad we tried a locally owned place. 1850 Hotel has set a high bar, and we’ll be back. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We were in town for an App State program meet up, and this hotel was in a great spot. Campus was under a five-minute walk away, and the downtown corner had shops, restaurants, bars, and more. We loved the stay and will definitely book here again when we return.

We came for a quick anniversary overnight and had a great room with a fantastic bed and a nice view of King Street. The stylish boutique hotel is right in the heart of Boone. Check-in and entry were easy with the code texted on arrival day. Staff stayed in touch by text and seemed ready to help, though we didn’t need anything. The cozy ground-floor restaurant, Daniel and the Dog, had delicious cocktails. We ate dinner elsewhere, then came back for dessert, but next time we’ll have dinner there. My only small suggestion is half screens on the windows instead of full-length ones, so the view of the mountain and Howard’s knob would be even better. We’ll be back.

The 1850 Hotel was right in the middle of everything during App State graduation weekend, with shops, restaurants, and college activities close by. We were impressed by the location, clean rooms, attentive staff over text, and all the thoughtful little touches. We’ll definitely stay here next time we’re in Boone.

We could park on King St and walk to the shops and restaurants, which made this location perfect. Contactless check-in and checkout were easy, and the onsite restaurant and bar felt welcoming with excellent service. The room was comfortable, and I used the third-floor fitness center every morning. This is our new favorite hotel in Boone.
