Atlantic Ark Inn

We spent five days in Room #2 and walked everywhere around Boothbay Harbor. It was our first B&B stay, and Donna made it a great one. The historic house has been updated with the amenities we needed while still holding onto its old character. We had our own entrance and a lovely porch, and the weekend breakfasts were delicious. We also enjoyed meeting some other couples. My wife and I had a splendid time and would recommend the Inn without hesitation.

We stayed four nights in the third-floor one-bedroom with my husband. It was compact, but just right for the two of us, with a comfortable bed, clean room, and nice furnishings. The room stayed cool despite the hot weather, and it was very quiet. Donna was a kind and helpful host. We hope to return!

This was our eighth visit to the Atlantic Ark Inn over the years. My wife and I first came for our honeymoon 22 years ago, and we're already looking forward to coming back again. The whole place has such a relaxing feel, and the bed is super comfortable. Jose, the new chef Donna hired, was incredible. The food tasted delicious and was beautifully presented, and all the staff were friendly and courteous.

The room at the top of the stairs was spacious and charming, and the whole place was spotless. I especially liked the spa-like bath, where I relaxed with a soak before exploring the village. Everything felt right, from the food and room to the atmosphere and welcome we got from the hosts as soon as we stepped onto the front porch. We hadn't planned much for our first trip to Maine last summer. We were driving north from Portland airport toward Winter Harbor and wanted to keep the first day's drive to one or two hours, so we found Atlantic Ark Inn in Boothbay Harbor by chance. The location was wonderful, and the town has plenty of good food and shopping. If you visit Boothbay, don't miss staying at the Atlantic Ark Inn.
