The balcony chairs and bay view were great, and the room was clean, though it had a slight musty or animal urine smell. Since the hotel allows pets, I don't know if a dog had stayed in our room before. The accommodations weren't updated, but the staff were extremely nice, and having a refrigerator in the room was a nice plus. The restaurant was so-so. We had a moderate dinner the first night, but breakfast the next morning wasn't good. There was no kids menu, so we ordered from the regular menu for our 3 year old. My ham and kale omelette was completely raw inside. By the time the waitress checked on us, my husband and son had finished their breakfasts. They offered to reheat it, which sounded gross to me, or give us 50% off. I chose the discount because we'd already been there a while and my son was getting antsy. I didn't think 50% off was great when I couldn't eat even one bite, but I went along with it because I didn't want to cause a problem for the waitress, who said she was new.

We were on the go all day and only needed a place to sleep and shower, so the clean, no-frills room suited us. It was definitely very old, but the spectacular view directly over the harbor made it an easy yes for another stay.

A great little place, very basic, but the price makes up for that. The room was clean and came with an iron, mini fridge, cable TV, blow dryer, and basic toiletries. The AC looked brand new and worked great, which was welcome on a day in the 90s when it only got into the 80s overnight. For breakfast we spent $20 at Brigde Street Cafe, less than a 10 minute walk over the bridge walkway, and were very satisfied. Can't wait to go back.

Nearly every room has a beautiful harbor view, and there are patios on both levels where you can sit and enjoy it. The room was very clean and simple, really all you need. The beds are huge and comfortable, the staff were very friendly, and continental breakfast is offered each morning.

One night my husband and I put the kids to bed, then sat outside on the shared deck with a beer and watched the harbor lights. Our room didn't have a harbor view, as the attached picture shows. This is an affordable, comfortable inn right on the harbor, with friendly employees and downtown about a five minute walk across the footbridge. The included continental breakfast was basic but did the job, with cereal, donuts, muffins, coffee, and tea. We'd definitely stay again.
