MHO Hotel Bordentown

It's a decent hotel for the price, and the stay wasn't as bad as I'd first expected. Drunks came in and made noise after midnight, though, which was a bit disturbing.

Once we got to our room, the stench made me gag. We opened the window, but there were no screens. The curtains had holes, the bedspreads and sheets were burned, the floor was sticky, dirty, and soft in places, the walls were disgusting, and the bathroom sink had hair in it along with half a bottle of used complimentary shampoo. The room felt completely uninviting. I checked for bedbugs and didn't see any, thank goodness, but I barely slept because I kept feeling like things were crawling on me. My son and I were exhausted on day three of a seven-park coaster trip, so we stayed. Otherwise I probably would have left. I wouldn't recommend it unless you just need somewhere to sleep. Finding the room was confusing too. From the road it looked like all the rooms had outside doors, but the front desk person said ours was on the other side. I drove around to a dead end where people were hanging out by a dumpster, turned around and parked along the side, then couldn't tell where to go in. Two more people were outside smoking and seemed like they were on something. We went inside to find a very dirty, smelly, sketchy hallway.

Weird smell in the room and a dirty bathroom, but it was cheap. For the price, I felt safe enough and it was decent for a night's sleep.

I really like coming here when we just want to get out of town. It's cleaner than most places and priced well, with friendly staff. I'd recommend it.
