Town Inn

I was visiting my daughter from Oregon and rented a room because she has a Rottweiler. I was glad I hadn't read the reviews beforehand, since they might have stopped me from checking in. I found the room clean and presentable, though not perfect, and it had no phone. I also had trouble with the door fob, but Harry on the night staff was accommodating and let me in. I told the day staff, and they fixed it so the fob worked fine. This didn't feel scary to me. It's quiet, and maybe the lack of people is what some guests interpret as unsettling. I was even missed for housekeeping, but mentioning it was enough to get it sorted right away. When I came back, the room had been cleaned and restocked with towels and toiletries. I think some of the reviews are unfair. This feels like a family run place under new management, and I get the impression the owners took over a mess and have been trying to bring it up to standard for much of the year. I could be wrong, that's just how it seems to me. I haven't seen bed bugs or roaches, though reading the reviews did give me the creeps. If you're looking for a 3 or 4 star hotel, pay for one. For a budget stay, this is as good as any other 2 star hotel, and I expect it to improve over time.

I booked this at the last minute while tired and looking for somewhere to sleep on the way from NY to VA. I should've had coffee and kept driving. The place is gross. I have photos and videos, and I'll be speaking to the local health department and reporting it to the BBB. This needs to be closed down.

My boyfriend and I booked a last minute trip for the fourth of july and had a great stay at the inn. The staff were very nice, and the room was CLEAN. The furniture was outdated, but nothing too serious. Thanks for having us!

We came up from NC and didn't arrive until close to 5 am. I was glad the front desk was available and that late checkout was offered for a small fee. I wish I'd known about early check-in when I booked the previous night, since I could've gotten a room for today that fit my itinerary better. The room was a good size and looked clean, with wifi, a flat screen TV, mini fridge, and microwave. I gave it two stars because I prefer more linens. There was just one rag for two adults in a double room. I asked for more, but staff came around about checkout without bringing a towel or washcloth. I had hoped the requested accessible room would still be available, and there was no elevator. We did have a nice view of the pool, though it apparently won't open until Aug. The front desk may have told me the pool was open until 9pm and continental breakfast ran until 930AM, but Hotel planner says that information is false. Cheap room with bare necessities.
