We ended up in a third room, but it still wasn’t clean to Hampton standards, and it had one king bed even though we’d specifically asked for two. Before that, we were handed keys to a second room that was unmade and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The first key was even worse: it opened someone else’s occupied room, and I walked in. That was extremely uncomfortable and completely unacceptable. The whole experience was frustrating and disappointing, especially given Hampton’s reputation and what I expected.

The front desk team was great. They quickly handled a package I had delivered and were friendly and helpful with local tips around town. The main problem during our weeklong project stay was the temperature. We’d go to sleep in cold rooms under the covers, then around 2 a.m. it would get hot. I talked with teammates, and they had the same issue. I also got a fairly cold shower even though the sink water was super hot. One teammate had the opposite problem, with very hot shower water and tap water that wasn’t hot enough.

The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the hotel stayed quiet throughout our visit. The front desk staff were pleasant. As an Honors member, I got the Honors rate and Wi-Fi, but no complimentary water. Breakfast was a letdown: a lot of things had run out with an hour still left before it ended, and they weren’t replenished.

Za’Qayla at the front desk makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. I travel a lot for work, and this has been my favorite hotel experience by far. The service is unmatched. I highly, highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area :)
