Faneuil Hall is a short stop, but it has real historical importance and is still in active use. Swearing-in ceremonies still happen there, which made it feel like a living place rather than just a preserved building. Entry is free, and it's a meaningful stop on the Freedom Trail. The restored massive painting is impressive in person, and the park rangers were very friendly and happy to answer questions. They also shared useful suggestions for things to see around Boston.

We'd been here about half a dozen times over the years and had no idea there was a museum upstairs. We only found out after stopping in to shop, and it turned into such an educational visit. Thanks to the guides and staff who showed us the way and talked about the history.

The building is really pretty, and it's a nice place to buy souvenirs. Good prices and products!

A nice place to walk through history. You can find unigrid brochures and passport stamps here, with a few language options. The first-floor marketplace was okay, nothing special. Bathrooms are downstairs in the basement.

One of the few Freedom Trail stops run by The National Parks System, so it's free to visit. There's a wonderful little military museum on the fourth floor, and an elevator if you need one.
