I’m still curious what actually happened. It seemed possible, just my opinion, that there was no room for me and they waited until I gave up before sending the “required form,” so they could still charge me or my company. Even if the room was ready, why wasn’t the form available when I arrived? It was a terrible end to a long travel day with a delayed flight, a missed connection, and another delayed flight. The only good thing was ending up in a much nicer hotel. In a strange way, I’m glad I didn’t stay at “Global Luxury,” because who knows how that would have gone. I had a two-night reservation for Feb 9 - Feb 11, 2026, booked through my organization’s travel provider and confirmed by email on Jan 23. I was traveling alone for work to a Boston conference, and arrived around 5:30 p.m., after dark. I rang the locked entrance bell several times. People were inside but didn’t let me in, so I waited until I could follow someone who had access. The floor was wet, with a puddle, and a “wet floor” sign, so staff knew about the hazard. There wasn’t really a check-in counter, just a small podium with a shield and a desk further back in a little office area. A friendly security guard was there with a woman who I later learned was apparently “off the clock.” I waited while the guard helped a family with their room, then was told I couldn’t check in. The billing department had emailed the hotel earlier that day saying I hadn’t completed all the required forms, but there were no forms for me to fill out. They told me to call billing and ask them to send one. It sounded sketchy, but after a long travel day I tried to see if it was simple. See attached email for the message they sent and showed me. I called and quickly spoke to someone, gave them my email, and was told they’d send the mysterious form, apparently a copy of my identification. I waited at least 20 minutes. Nothing arrived. The person had texted to confirm my email address, so I sent two messages asking if they’d sent the form. No answer. I told the security guard, who was also acting as the check-in clerk, that I needed to cancel because I had to make sure I had somewhere to stay. While waiting, I found a place about 0.25 miles away and booked it. I said I was canceling my “Global Luxury Suites” reservation because I was afraid they didn’t actually have a room for me. He said, “really? you're canceling?” I said, “what choice do I have?” I walked to the second hotel and checked in without a problem. Relieved, I checked my phone once I got to the room and saw a text saying, “we sent you the form.” I replied that I wanted to cancel and had made other arrangements. They texted back that the reservation was non-refundable. The cancellation deadline had passed a few days earlier, but I thought they might make an exception. They said the room was ready and they were waiting on my documents. I explained it was all handled through a travel provider and said I’d tell them to remove this property from their hotel list.

I prepaid for 21 nights, then the next day they told me I had to leave immediately because a “system glitch” had supposedly erased my reservation. It was their mistake, but I was put out at night with no relocation or other solution, left scrambling for somewhere to go. When I asked for a refund, they said they wouldn’t give me any paperwork until I vacated and checked out. After I left as instructed, they still wouldn’t provide a checkout receipt or written proof that my stay had ended. The way they communicate also felt suspicious. Instead of contacting me directly, they had a housekeeping manager call through someone else’s phone on speaker, leaving no record or evidence of the request to leave. After I disputed charges with my bank for services I never received, they charged my card again without authorization. I had to dispute that charge too and change my card details for protection. They take full payment upfront, cancel your stay over their own error, make you leave without accommodation, refuse receipts and other documentation, communicate in ways that leave no record, then try to charge you again. I’ve since seen similar complaints, so this doesn’t seem like a one-off. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had with any accommodation provider. The whole thing felt scam-like and went beyond incompetence into what felt like fraudulent behavior. Please be careful and do NOT stay here. There are more trustworthy, professional places to book.

We’re really enjoying our stay at the global luxury suites! The apartment is comfortable and has everything we need for cooking and washing our clothes. The location is great too, and the staff are really nice. We love it!

Customer service with this property had been great until I arrived and couldn’t check in because there was no key for my unit. It was late, and since it’s an apartment complex, I eventually left and found a hotel so I’d have somewhere safe to sleep. After leaving Boston, I contacted customer service to sort out what happened and was treated horribly.

The location is a real plus, right at the edge of Chinatown, close to Downtown, Back Bay, Boylston, Copley, and other attractions, with the orange line steps away. We didn’t feel unsafe, and the 1-800 customer service team were helpful. I’d booked for two adults by mistake, though we were two adults and three boys. They arranged a roll-away bed, extra linens, towels, and pillows. There were no linens for the pull-out sofa and just two towels for our four-day stay, with no daily room service. The bigger problems were the building and room. The elevator was out for our whole trip, so we had to use the Verizon elevators in the shared building. Those needed a keycard that only Security had. A guard had to scan their badge and press our floor button, and every time we wanted to go down, we had to call them to send the elevator. Very inconvenient. Most guards were friendly, though one bearded guy had a terrible attitude. “O” was great. The bedroom door was completely missing, and its jamb molding was cracked, broken, and pulling away from the wall. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut, and its seal was off, so shower water went all over the floor. Hot water was basically nonexistent. With five of us, one person could barely get a five-minute shower before it ran cold, and it took hours to heat up again. The washing machine water had a weird timer you had to start before turning the water on. There were only two tiny trash cans, one gallon and three gallons, so I had to buy trash bags. The mattress was very hard. The building needs work on molding, paint, ceilings, walls, and elevator interiors. We got an email that an HVAC company would come replace filters. The wear and tear made it seem like management only fixes things once they become major problems. I’ve had time to cool off and wanted to keep this factual and as unbiased as I could. For the price and location, it can be cost effective. Customer service was pleasant, and it wasn’t the worst room I’ve stayed in, but with my wife and three kids it left a lot to be desired. If you want maid service, really clean rooms, a bathroom door that shuts, working elevators, and a hot shower, look elsewhere.
