The hotel was crowded and loud, with a health convention filling the public areas while I was there. That may have been an off time, but it was not why I came. I was only at the Omni because my company booked it, and I’d return only if they booked it again. I wouldn’t choose it for myself. Service was poor from start to finish. The day before arrival, I asked about checking in at 1 pm and was told it would cost $75. I’d never had a hotel charge me for that, though I’ve never stayed at an Omni before. When I arrived, I was 16th in line for an early room. Nobody welcomed me as a loyalty member or offered the welcome drink I was supposed to get. At checkout, two desk agents chatted while I waited for my airport ride and didn’t thank me or say they hoped I’d return. The room was fairly clean, but sunlight through the open curtains showed old stains on the comforter. I didn’t ask to move rooms. Room service also brought pillows, blankets, and an extra robe four times that afternoon, though I hadn’t requested any of them. The most alarming problem was that a coworker was checked into a room already occupied by another coworker. Fortunately, we were at dinner when she arrived, but she found luggage and electronics inside. The hotel didn’t seem especially concerned about this serious security issue.

Alexander, the security guard at the Omni Hotel, made a great impression on me. He was welcoming and approachable, but also attentive and professional from the moment I arrived. I felt safe and comfortable, and it was clear he takes the job seriously and goes out of his way to look after guests. The Omni is lucky to have him.

The pool and jacuzzi are fun, and I love the spa, on-site parking, Amazon Convenience Store, and range of restaurants. The hotel even took our concerns about ice on the pool stairs and other outdoor areas seriously. After our winter stay last year, they added heated mats and an attendant this year. My husband and I really like this place. The rooms are small, but clean and modern, and the front desk service is great. The one frustration has been how slow breakfast room service from Kestra is. Both times we ordered, it was very late, over an hour last year and 45 minutes this year. The food was good, though. I’d recommend the hotel.

Tony Zin at the front desk made our stay special. He listened to what we wanted and helped us choose the right room, then suggested the hotel bar and restaurant. Both turned out to be highlights of our evening, and his hospitality and local knowledge were excellent. I was there with my wife and daughter for her volleyball tournament, and we had an incredible time. Tony really went the extra mile for us.

I enjoyed staying in an Artist Tower room. The bed faced the smart TV, the shower was excellent and stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and the room felt comfortable overall. The bathroom was small but clean and private. The walls are thin, though, so some outside noise gets in. The hotel is convenient too, about 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from downtown. Café Cocorico was handy for a warm drink, and the gym had plenty of machines. Housekeeping was great and quick while I was out. My main frustration was with staff. I asked the front desk for a microwave and was told “okay,” but it never arrived, so I had to call later. At Kestra, the hostess sent me to the website when I asked about hours instead of answering. Even with those issues, I had an amazing stay. The hotel is small and cozy, and the room itself was great.
